Every family is entitled to the minimum Child Care Benefit(CCB) regardless of income level.
CCB is a social security payment available through the Family Assistance Office (FAO) which is a division of Centrelink. The CCB is only to parents who use an approved service such as 5 Star Childcare & ELC.
The CCB payment can be paid weekly reducing your fees or can be claimed as a lump sum payment at the end of the financial year. Application forms are available at our office, just ask the CEO for one.
Tax Offset
30% of all “out of pocket fees” will be refunded as part of your tax return. 5 Star Childcare & ELC will provide you with a statement at the end of the financial year to assist you with your claim.
Allowable Absences
The CCB will be paid for a maximum of 30 days per financial year regardless of the reason for the absence. If your child is absent for more than 30 days the CCB reduction will not apply.
