Fees & Cancellation Policy:

Fees Schedule and Policies – September 2006

Full Time: Monday to Friday $270.00 per week
Part Time: One to Four Days $58.00 per day
Casual: Hourly rate is charged at each hour used or part thereof $15.00 per hour

 

Enrolment Guideline Policy

According to Governments “Priority of Access Guidelines”, priority is given to full time working parents, full time students and unemployed persons undertaking training or seeking employment.

 

Enrolling your child at 5 Star Childcare & ELC

When you are offered a position at 5 Star Childcare & ELC you will be required to fill out an Enrolment form. A $25.00 booking fee is charged on enrolment and is non-refundable.

Bond

We require the payment of a bond before the commencement of care at 5 Star Childcare & ELC. This bond is the equivalent of two (2) weeks fees and it secures your enrolment at 5 Star Childcare & ELC. If you have a change of income or change you enrolment times or days the bond figure will be adjusted to reflect at all times the equivalent of 2 weeks care. The bond will be held by us until such time as we receive two weeks notice that you will be withdrawing you child at which time your bond will be refunded.

 

Payment of Fees

Fees are due and payable in advance the same week as you use the care or on the last day of any part time days used during that week. Casual fees are due when the child is picked up. If the fees become more than two weeks in arrears, the child’s position will be cancelled and the vacancy filled. Please speak with the director if you wish to pay fortnightly or monthly as these must be in advance.

 

Child Care Benefit

5 Star Childcare & ELC is able to facilitate the payment of the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and parents only pay the amount after the CCB has been deducted.

 

Payment Method

Credit Cards and Eftpos – most credit cards are accepted at 5 Star Childcare & ELC. If you wish to pay with a card please do so at the Reception counter.

Cash or Cheque – please make cash or cheque payments in the administration office.

 

Annual Leave Days

Twenty days annual leave is allocated to every family each financial year. Annual leave may be taken any time the centre is open. Annual leave days will only be granted if a minimum of two weeks notice is given, and they will be charged at 50% of the usual fee.

 

Public Holidays

Full fees will apply to any child with a permanent booked day falling on a public holiday. You are unable to take annual leave on Public Holidays.

 

Illness

If a child is absent due to illness the full fee still applies. Please provide a medical certificate so this absence is not counted as one of your 30 allowable absences per financial year.

 

Allowable Absences

The CCB will be paid for a maximum of 30 days per financial year regardless of the reason for the absence. If your child is absent for more than 30 days the CCB reduction will not apply.

 

Withdrawal of Your Child’s Enrolment

A minimum of two weeks notice (in writing) must be given to the director when terminating care or reducing the numbers of permanent part time days. The bond that you have paid will be used automatically at this time. A final account will be prepared and any outstanding monies owed should be paid at this time.

 

Invoices

Unless otherwise requested, all invoices will be issued monthly. There is no GST payable on child care fees.

 

Late Pick Up Fees

Human Services Regulations require that we have a minimum of two staff on at all times. A late fee of $20.00 will apply for every 15 minutes or part thereof. Parents are requested to ring the centre if they are going to be late.

 

Fees Paid In Arrears – Administration Charge

A $7.50 per week charge will apply to fees paid late as will any bank charges incurred by the centre for returned cheques.
The administration fee will be charged each week that your fees are in arrears.
